The Bear Hat...

...that was supposed to be a bunny, that really looks like a puppy.

I guess it could be a lop-eared bunny? I prefer lops anyhow. I used the COZY WINTER HOOD pattern from my new favorite sewing book, "Oliver and S, Little Things To Sew." Sweet projects, good instructions and best of all, beautiful pictures.

At first I left out the straps to tie it on because I couldn't quite figure out the strap instructions. That one part could have been a little clearer. I am sure my brain could have been a little clearer too. I was trying to finish it quickly and I had Minna hovering and the boys climbing the walls. (Well, actually the roof, but that is all I am saying about that.) Those directions aside, the rest were very easy and clear.

I thought it would be cute just left to be pulled on and the side flaps hanging aviator-style, but look at that bunny go! She runs around quick-like with it on, so I sewed up my own ties with the lining fabric and hand sewed them on. That is a K. Fassett fabric and I am so glad to show more of it. So pretty! And Spring-y!

I think she is one happy bunny-girl! She has been hopping around the yard all morning with it on. Kind of funny seeing her poke around the (someday) veggie garden.

*Note to self- Must improve that rabbit-proof fence.

Don't tell anyone that I bribed Minners with a Peep to get her to let me take some pictures.

I thought it fitting...

a sweet bunny for a sweet bunny.
