One Of Those Weeks...

Last week...

our family out here, grew by two.

We thought long and hard on the perfect doggie-girl names.

Brought them home.

Fell into a good rhythm of...

Outside.

Wrestle match.

Explore.

Cuddle sock monkeys.

Eat.

Sleep.

Wake.

Repeat.

Somehow feeling rested after night wakings for 

trips outside and intense wrestling bouts in the dark.

Every. Single. Time.

 She likes to stick by me.

(I don't mind a bit.)

Being loved on by our friends.

(She didn't mind a bit.)

It was a great first week home with our new girls.

These kinds of days are good.

Plants and Animals (and wood)

An almost Fall whirl around the yard.

The garden.

I started.

I tried.

I was a little bit successful.

The wild bunnies were as well.

Next year, hoops.

Starting seeds earlier.

Compost.

That's a broccoli!

Success and happiness with container flowers this year!

So much fun.

Will expand next year with home made containers.

The baby chicks are out!

Working their way into the order.

They are keeping away from their big sisters 
and sleeping under the coop.

I wasn't expecting that.

I will let them all figure things out as long as there is no bloodshed.

So far so good.

Yet another GIANT wood pile.

Waiting to be split and stacked.

That's all I have to say about that.

There has been some neat woodworking though!

Sully used a fancy saw and cut all  these pieces out.

It turned into a hanging fishing pole rack!

Isn't it pretty!?

Almost that time to put the poles away for the season.

Almost.

Almost Fall.

Swingin' In The Sun.

I don't have pictures of part one to this story, 

so I will set the stage...

Boys ask to go in the attic.

They say its a secret reason.

Mom says she wont open the attic door unless she knows the secret.

They admit they want climbing harnesses.

Mom shrugs and pulls down the door/ladder thing

 hoping spiders wont fall on her face.

Now onto the photo story...

Planning. Meeting in the trees.

Help a brother out.

I am thankful for fun sunny days like this. Every day we get one makes me feel a little like it could be the last. For a while anyway. You feeling Fall start to envelope you?

Well, no matter the season, 

we are embarking on a whole new adventure out here tomorrow. 

And adventure, may be putting it lightly...

the long weekend...

We will just ignore the overtime shift, 

floor scrubbing and fruitless fishing trips.

This sums up the rest pretty well.
