Another Summer Update.

Hello!
A nice spread of days this past two weeks or so.

A new 5 year old in the house!

With new kicks.

(Here is last year. That tummy!)

We prepped Minna's room for a very special guest.

Jeff brought Grandpa home on his return!

Such a long motorcycle ride they took.
Made it back safe and sound.

It sure seemed like along trip from our end.
The sounds of those bikes coming up the road was so welcomed.

We took a nice river walk in what seems
to be the last moments of sun since they got back to the island.

Then promptly put Grandpa to work.
So, pretty much, if you plan on visiting, plan on working.

Roo doesn't work.
At all.

Rain or not. Cloudy or not. Chilly or not.
Kodiak is nice on your eyes and in your lungs.

We waited to celebrate Minna's birthday.
Had to have Dad and Grandpa here.

Pink cupcakes.
Pink pinata.

Pink Legos.

Pink fishing pole.

Pink streamers.
A Minna party.
Made me remember the times
when your favorite color just really, really mattered.
Pink matters.

 Some pretty kings came home.
The fish count competition of  2013 is getting serious.

Seeing these pictures
made me accept that a garden just isn't happening this year.
I will miss the little bits of veggies we could be getting.
Mostly, I am going to miss my big hanging baskets
and flower pots on the deck.

I guess it's not too late to plant a bit in containers...
Right?
I'm going to do that this weekend.

And, Happy 4th of July to you!
That's an important birthday.
Very important colors too.

Have a great weekend!

  1. Sounds like you guys are having a lovely summer! Glad your husband and dad are home safe and sound. Minna's boots? Awesome.

  2. You always make me want to come for a visit ... and stay for a month or two! And no, it's not too late for potted vegetation! I just finally got around to filling all the sad, barren pots on my porch last week. Better late than never! (And now I'd better remember to go water them!)
